Studio Learning Curves Number 1.

Learning curves are constantly happening and I’m learning to stop, take note and celebrate them. Is that number 1? Well, it could be but its not the one I want to mention today ;)

I’m going try to take note of them here in my Studio Friends blog because it’ll be great to look back at them and also to share them.

Just sharing a learning curve moment. Kinda funny really and also face+palm moment.

I've been wrestling with taking sharp, clear photos of these tiny sculpted pendants. Part of the problem is plain and simple - my deteriorating eyesight. Floaters and changes in ability to focus... I finally bought proper glasses for "reading" and closeup work. Good girl. Taking action where its needed. LOL

And recently I finally figured out how to properly use the manual focus feature on my phone camera. The brain fog has been very real over the last few years so I’ll go easy on me. But I do feel a bit silly.

I have a Galaxy Note9 and I have loved it. I'm sure the newer models gave even better capabilities for photography and videography. But this baby is a workhorse and I keep discovering more about its features and abilities. I have loved the Pro option in its camera settings. Very flexible control. I’m also due to get a new phone soon as this battery struggles to stay charged and I must say the newest Note Pro’s camera looks wonderful.

Combine these features with the amazing @canvasco cell phone support and ring light and I think I can safely retire my DSLR (especially given that it needs some maintenance tlc right now and is on the shelf. Plus, honestly, it’s heavy and feels awkward now, after using my cell phone camera for so long)
